Mike and his daughter August meet up with Ontario fishing legend, Gord Ellis, at the Nipigon River Adventures’ Quebec Lodge and fish for brook trout on the famed Lake Nipigon.

Mike hits the northern hardwoods for a week of deer hunting. This is the 30 year anniversary for the crew at camp and Mike hopes to take a buck with his newly licensed apprentice, August Miller.

With winter in full swing the hunting options are limited but Mike shows that crows can be a great quarry and make an awesome meal.

Mike’s daughter, August, is 12 and finally has her hunting licence and nothing would make her happier than taking a deer in her very first bow season.
